Steven Debipersad studied Medicine and Economics and is widely recognized for his macroeconomic analyses, which he regularly shares through public interviews,
presentations, and policy discussions. As a lecturer at Anton de Kom University of Suriname, he focuses on the development of master’s programs aimed at
strengthening Suriname’s financial-economic expertise. He is currently the Coordinator of the Master’s program in Finance and Control. In parallel, he has been
active for over a decade within the Association of Economists in Suriname, currently as its Chair, and also serves as Chair of the Suriname Business Forum, linking
academia, policy, and practice in support of national development.
