Sorayadebie Jhagroe is a young professional, leader and changemaker dedicated to support the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals. women’s leadership and youth development in international relations, climate action, energy and environment. She has a master’s degree in Sustainable Management of Natural Resources and holds the position of Regulatory Specialist at the Energy Authority of Suriname. Sorayadebie Jhagroe is a young professional, leader, and changemaker from Suriname,
dedicated to advancing the Sustainable Development Goals. Her focus areas include the climate-energy nexus, energy transition, and women’s leadership and youth development in international relations. She holds a Master’s degree in Sustainable Management of Natural Resources and is currently in the position of Regulatory Specialist at the Energy Authority of Suriname. Soraya is the recipient of the CCREEE/CARICOM 2022 Women in Sustainable Energy Award in the category Youth Leader. She actively participates in recognized platforms like the Blue Planet Alliance, Caribbean Development Bank's Future Leaders Network and Women in Renewable Energy Platform, while also actively driving change and meaningfully contributing to shaping outcomes across various other influential platforms.
