Arsene Frederic BOISSY was born in Thiès, Senegal, where he completed his primary and secondary education. After obtaining a bachelor’s degree in science, he pursued higher education at the Institute of Earth Sciences (IST) at Cheikh Anta Diop University in Dakar. This institute later became the National School of Mines and Geology (ENSMG), where he graduated in 2011 with a degree in geological engineering. In 2012, he began his professional career with a Senegalese small and medium-sized enterprise specializing in alluvial gold exploration in eastern Senegal, particularly in the Kédougou region, for a period of three months. He subsequently joined a British mining company, Stratex, which was in partnership with a Senegalese company, Energy and Mining Corporation (EMC), where he worked for two and a half years. In January 2014, he was recruited by PETROSEN as a geological engineer. His primary responsibilities included the periodic evaluation of the oil and gas potential of the Senegalese sedimentary basin, as well as the monitoring and control of oil and gas operations. In 2020, following the restructuring of PETROSEN into a parent company, PETROSEN Holding, with two subsidiaries—PETROSEN Exploration & Production (PETROSEN E&P) and PETROSEN Trading & Services (PETROSEN T&S) - he was appointed Head of Oil and Gas Databank Services at PETROSEN E&P. Since 2023, he has been serving as Head of the Promotion Department at PETROSEN E&P.
