With over 30 years of experience and progressively increasing responsibilities in oil and gas (O&G) projects, he has developed extensive expertise in seismic interpretation, structural geology, regional geology, petroleum systems, basin analysis, prospect and lead generation and valuation, as well as the positioning of exploratory and appraisal wells.
From early in his career, he recognized the importance of integrating diverse disciplines, scales, and geological tools, continuously pursuing the knowledge and skills required to apply this multidisciplinary approach effectively.
Throughout his professional journey, he has participated in the full life cycle of E&P projects across numerous joint venture operations, holding both technical and managerial roles during the exploration and appraisal phases. This experience enabled him to build strong technical expertise alongside solid commercial acumen in O&G ventures.
Serving as Geoscience Coordinator for PPSA for nine years, he worked on most Pre-Salt projects in the Santos and Campos basins, gaining comprehensive insight into the exploration and development challenges and uncertainties of Pre-Salt fields through a multidisciplinary and multiscale perspective.
He recently joined S&P Global Commodity Insights, where he is responsible for the company’s E&P research activities in Brazil, including the Global Exploration and Production Services (GEPS) product.
