Eric Nelson is an Executive Vice President at Ryder Scott and a member of the company’s Board of Directors with approximately 25 years of experience in reservoir engineering, reserves evaluation, and economic analysis. He leads global reserves audits and technical evaluations supporting operators, financial institutions, and investors.
His expertise includes reserves estimation, reservoir performance analysis, artificial lift, and integrated reservoir studies for onshore and offshore assets. Mr. Nelson has extensive experience across North America, Latin America, and Africa, including projects in Angola, Venezuela, Argentina, Bolivia, and the Gulf of Mexico. Prior to Ryder Scott, he worked as a reservoir engineer with ExxonMobil. He holds an MBA from the University of Texas and a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Tulsa.
