OilNOW Named Official Local Media Partner for Caribbean Energy Week 2027

OilNOW Named Official Local Media Partner for Caribbean Energy Week 2027
Caribbean Energy Week (CEW) 2027 has partnered with OilNOW, Guyana’s leading oil and gas news and analysis platform, as its Official Local Media Partner, reinforcing the event’s commitment to regional media collaboration and deeper sector-wide engagement across the Caribbean energy industry.

Founded in 2017 and headquartered in Georgetown, OilNOW has established itself as a trusted source of timely reporting, analysis and insight into the rapidly evolving oil and gas sector in Guyana and the wider Caribbean. The platform has become a key information hub for industry stakeholders, policymakers, investors and energy professionals seeking reliable coverage of upstream developments, regional cooperation and emerging energy trends.

Guyana continues to stand out as one of the world’s fastest-emerging energy economies, underpinned by rapid offshore development and expanding production capacity in the Stabroek Block. The country is now producing close to 1 million barrels of oil per day, a significant milestone achieved within just a few years of first oil, and is widely expected to surpass this threshold as additional offshore developments come online.

As momentum builds toward CEW 2027, the event will officially launch its in-country program in Guyana on July 20, 2026, at the Guyana Marriott Hotel in Georgetown. Bringing together senior government and industry leaders, the launch will spotlight Guyana’s emergence as a regional energy hub while advancing discussions on investment, infrastructure, energy security and the opportunities shaping the Caribbean Energy Corridor.

Alongside production growth, Guyana’s energy sector is entering a new phase focused on infrastructure expansion, gas monetization and domestic value creation, with major projects underway to convert associated natural gas into power generation and support industrial development. This next stage of development reflects a broader national ambition to translate hydrocarbon wealth into long-term economic diversification, energy security and wider regional integration across the Caribbean energy landscape.

As Official Local Media Partner, OilNOW will play a central role in amplifying the visibility of CEW 2027 across digital platforms, delivering pre-event, live and post-event coverage – including the in-country launch and main event –  designed to engage both regional and international audiences. Caribbean Energy Week is expected to convene senior government officials, national oil companies, international operators, service providers, financiers and policy experts to explore the future of energy security, investment and sustainability across the Caribbean.

The collaboration reflects CEW 2027’s commitment to strengthening regional storytelling and ensuring Caribbean perspectives remain central to global energy discourse. It also underscores the growing importance of regional media institutions in shaping narratives around investment, production, and the evolving energy transition across the Caribbean basin.
